Bikano Goal Matthi

Gol Matthi is a popular Rajasthani snack. It is a type of salty, crispy flake cookie, originating from the northwestern part of India. Gol Matthi cookies are made from wheat flour, salt, oil and other spices. The production process is quite laborious – the dough is first rolled out into thin sheets, then cut into small pieces and deep fried in oil until golden, crispy. The finished cookies have a delicate, crumbly texture and a distinct, salty taste with hints of cumin and other Indian spices.

Gol Matthi is a traditional snack often served during celebrations and festivals in the Rajasthan region. It is also popular among local vendors at street stalls and in small grocery stores. Due to its unique texture and taste, Gol Matthi is gaining popularity even outside India, appreciated by lovers of the cuisine of the Indian subcontinent.

Apart from the traditional version, in recent years, other variations of Gol Matthi have also emerged, with the addition of different spices or vegetables such as cumin, coriander, garlic or onion. Regardless of the specific recipe, Gol Matthi remains one of the most recognisable and beloved local snacks of the Rajasthan region.

Large, clean and nice shop. Wide range of groceries and basic necessities available. We met in a very friendly atmosphere. We also enjoyed the tea and samosa.

Great shop where you can also grab a bite to eat. We tried the flatbread and pakora, it was really tasty. Very large selection of products and good prices. Perfect place when you want to buy Indian spices, among other things.

Super shop, large assortment, you can find products from all over Asia ♡ I also found there the long-sought chocolate. The only thing I can slightly find fault with is that the staff does not speak Polish fluently, sometimes it was hard for me to communicate, but that is understandable in such a shop ;)
